Marketing
Some people consider that sales is a subset of marketing, and that is a reasonable point of view.
We however consider marketing (and sales) to be standalone. One reason for this is because most sales people are not cut out to be marketing people. The skills, contacts, experience, knowledge and personality types are quite different, although both groups have to work harmoniously towards their common objective of sales with increased profitability.
By marketing, we mean the services which assist in selling company products. Such services include the design and production of sales literature, placing information about the company and its products in trade magazines and the general media. Designing packaging where appropriate, advising on mark-ups, interfacing with sales-staff. An important aspect of marketing is selecting and arranging all aspects of trade-shows (and participating in these behind (and sometimes alongside) your sales representatives). Advising on use of any advertising budgets. Advising on image and reflecting that into all aspects of your presentation. All these services support selling and in many cases introduce customers and supply leads. In some cases, we can introduce new products, or a product in development, and provide you with valuable feedback from business partners and potential customers.
We are particularly well-placed to advise on how to handle tradeshows. Most companies make some return on tradeshows but very few secure maximum benefits at minimal costs. Some companies make poor returns.
Any and all of the marketing services you may require are available through us.
We have considerable strengths in marketing research and deal with that under a separate heading.
